Our Professional Staff

Every single one of our talented and professional staff are members of the American Physical Therapy Association, a national organization representing over 70,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students nationwide.

Richard L. Stoneking, PT, BA/BS

Richard Stoneking has been a physical therapist since 1979 and in private practice since 1989. Offices are maintained in West Trenton (Mercer County) and Lambertville (Hunterdon County), New Jersey. In addition to private practice, Rich has worked in the home health, inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing care settings. When not treating patients, Rich has been a consultant for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Companies since 1996 performing physical therapy utilization review and cost containment.

Academically, Rich graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, receiving dual bachelor’s degrees. While at Penn, Rich also was a pitcher for the varsity baseball team. Professionally, Rich served as President of New Jersey Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association for two years, and Board of Director member for six years. In 1998 Rich was presented the Outstanding Service Award by the American Physical Therapy Association of New Jersey. Professional membership to the American Physical Therapy Association has been maintained since 1980.

Over the years Rich has given over 100 professional presentations on behalf of the physical therapy profession and routinely lectured at all of New Jersey’s four physical therapy graduate programs.
Non-professional accomplishments include licensure as a commercial hot air balloon pilot, past President of Lambertville-New Hope Rotary, proud husband of 26 years with wife Cindy, and father of two children who recently completed their undergraduate college educations.

Cindy Sneddon Stoneking

Cindy has been with Stoneking Physical Therapy since it’s inception. A graduate of South Hunterdon High School and Rutgers University, she has worn several hats throughout the years. Currently she is the bookeeper for both Physical Therapy and the Wellness Center. She also works part-time manning the front desk in the Lambertville office.

Cindy is also involved in the promotion and coordination of various social events in the Wellness Center as well as “Head Librarian”.

Kevin Makely, PT, DPT

Kevin earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2006 from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. After working for 3 years for a private orthopedic practice in northern New Jersey, Kevin moved to Newtown, PA and joined Stoneking Physical Therapy in October 2009.

Kevin has practiced exclusively in an orthopedic setting working with patients of all ages and musculoskeletal disorders. Kevin enjoys working with athletes of all ages and the geriatric population. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in June 2010.

Kevin is an avid baseball and hockey fan, and since completing his collegiate baseball career at Richard Stockton College, he has been coaching youth and high school baseball throughout New Jersey.

Gianna Bigliani Cetkowski, PT, DPT, CSCS

Gianna earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University in July 2007. She has experience in orthopedic, sports, and neurologic impairments as well as teaching as a professor at Drexel University.

Gianna has also served as a strength, conditioning and performance coach for athletes of various ages. In her spare time she is a championship rower, runner, cycler, tri-athlete, skier, backpacker and traveler.

Tina VanDerMeiren, MA, CSCS

Tina earned her B.S. in Exercise Science from Rutgers University and her M.A. with a concentration in Women’s Studies and Coaching from Stony Brook University. While at Rutgers, Tina was on the Varsity Women’s Crew team where she won numerous awards and honors including MVP in 2000, Novice Co-Captain in 2000, Most Improved Rower in 2001, Varsity MVP in 2002 and Varsity Co-Captain in 2003. Tina also rowed 4 seat in the Varsity 8 that placed 14th at the NCAA regatta in 2001.

Before coming to Stoneking Wellness Center, Tina was a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for Princeton, Stony Brook, and Michigan State University. Tina is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Since ending her collegiate career, Tina has taken up running half-marathons, adventure races and has even tried her hand at trapeze.

Mick Benson, FS, HGCT

Mick earned his Fitness Specialist degree from Raritan Valley College and furthered his academic studies in Corporate Fitness at The College of New Jersey. While at Raritan, Mick earned All-American honors as a pitcher for the varsity baseball team. Mick has worked at Stoneking Physical Therapy since 1992 and Stoneking Wellness Center since it’s opening in 2007. He will be furthering his education as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the near future.

Outside of the healthcare field, Mick is also a highly sought after Professional Golf Instructor. He has mentored and trained with the game’s elite teachers and pioneers in the industry. Reaching far beyond the realm of golf mechanics and technique, Mick specializes in all the components which contribute to the playing, performing and enjoyment of the game of golf. He is also trained in the leading edge disciplines of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Applied Kinesiology, D.I.S.C. behavioral profiling and is a graduate of the Landmark Education Forum.

Mick currently lives in Hunterdon County, New Jersey with his wonderful wife, Heidi.

Dan Bowden, MS

Dan, a new member of our exercise physiology staff will be seen in both the Ewing and Lambertville offices. He has both his bachelors degree in Exercise Science and masters degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from East Stroudsburg University. He has experiences in all phases of cardiac rehabilitation as well as pulmonary rehabilitation from internships with the Pocono Medical Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Heart and Vascular and several well known medical centers throughout the Pocono and Lehigh region.

Dan is a noted collegiate athlete at East Stroudsburg with varsity letters in cross country and winter & spring track. He also, ran the Harrisburg Marathon in 2010.

Debra L. Wiley – Assistant Office Manager

Deb has been employed at Richard Stoneking, PT for over 7 years. Her duties include welcoming patients as they walk through the door, assisting them with completion of patient information intake forms, and scheduling of appointments. Deb graduated from Trenton State College with a BS in Business Administration and has previously worked as an Insurance Agent, Business Manager for a family owned dry cleaning business.

Karen Currie – Office Manager

Karen has been employed at Stoneking Physical Therapy since 1992. As office manager Karen coordinates all business operations, including the submission of insurance claims for reimbursement and patient scheduling. Being the employee with the longest tenure, Karen has become somewhat of an institution.

Jeanette Adelman – Office Manager

Jeanette has been employed at Richard Stoneking, PT since September 1999. As office manager Jeanette coordinates all business operations, including the submission of insurance claims for reimbursement. Prior to joining our staff Jeanette worked for 11 years as the office manager in the Physical Therapy Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. With her long history of customer service Jeanette makes everyone feel at ease with what oftentimes can be a confusing experience.
